Gurpreet Pia Fleming embarked on her career in fashion after graduating from NIFT Delhi in 1987. She later studied fashion at FIT and eventually settled in the US. In 2002 she launched her line of accessories under the label BIAN (mysterious in Vietnamese). FGI nominated her as a rising star in the field of accessories for 2004. BIAN was introduced in India in 2006 at the opening of her flagship store in Delhi, which has been rated as one of the most beautiful stores in Delhi.
